192Lynn Malone, a native of Chatham, Louisiana, pastored United Methodist congregations for over 28 years before stepping away from full-time vocational ministy.  He currently serves as Vice President for Business Development at Peoples Bank in Chatham, LA, and serves in pulpit supply and evangelistic ministry as God leads.

He is a graduate of Chatham High School, La. Tech University (B.A.- History, Magna Cum Laude), and Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Divinity from The New Testament Bible Church Biblical Seminary.  Pastor Lynn answered the call to ministry in 1991 after serving more than eight years as a deputy sheriff with the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office, and his first appointment in ministry was as interim pastor of his home church, 1st UMC, Chatham.  During his years in vocational ministry, Lynn served pastorates in Eros, LA, Junction City, KY, Morgan City, LA, Minden, LA, Benton, LA, and Monroe, LA, where he served two years as the District Superintendent of the Monroe District before serving as Senior Pastor of First Methodist Monroe.

Pastor Lynn is an ordained elder in The Evangelical Methodist Church. He is also the founding director of the Clergy Care Network, an emerging ministry to clergy and their families designed to be a place to care for those who care. In addition, Lynn and Vanessa are founding pastors of The House Church Movement–a movement whose purpose is to form an association of house churches across the United States.

Lynn and his wife, Vanessa, have four children and five grandchildren. In his free time, Lynn enjoys reading, writing, playing golf (he didn’t say he was good at it), traveling (anywhere there’s a beach), dining out, and (please don’t tell anyone) shopping.
